As payers stumble, hospitals eye their Medicare Advantage members

Despite the national pullbacks, total Medicare Advantage enrollment is still growing, though at a slower rate. Between 2024 and 2025, enrollment grew 4%, compared to 7% the year before. In 2025, 34 million Medicare beneficiaries, or 54% of the eligible population, are enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans, up from 33 million (53%) in 2024. ARTICLE
